we bought it because the gorgeous waterfall faucet for our stand-alone tub came from China we could not hook it up because the threads were British, not American, and incompatible took about a month to ship so for a while we used the tub by having the water come through a pipeNo big deal I am lucky we were able to find this on lineNowhere else had it, like lowes home depot, etc or any hardware store we tried
